"Servants of the Moscow Church are in Russia, and we have..." Lomachenko throws a tantrum over interview with OCU head

Former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko has been known for his attacks on the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Epifaniy. The boxer accused the Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine of allegedly "beating the elderly and women" and "seizing our churches."

Lomachenko wrote about this on his Instagram page, commenting on Epifaniy's interview, in which he talks about the transition of churches from the MP to the OCU. The 37-year-old athlete broke out in hysterics, pinning various accusations on the head of the OCU.

"The ministers of the Moscow Church in Russia, and here, the ministers of the Ukrainian Church, do not physically interfere, but protect their churches, which they built with people! It's like if you come to people's homes and tell them that they live in the wrong way in their homes, and you will take their homes by force!" Lomachenko said, forgetting that this is exactly what the Russian occupiers came to Ukrainian land with.

Boxer was noted for his outspoken propaganda narratives, siding with the MP. "There is a strong persecution of people who do not want to join the OCU, sincere believers see what is happening and understand where the true apostolic church is! Most people are against joining a church that preaches violence and hatred!" Vasyl added.

The day before, he refused to wish Ukrainians a Merry Christmas. In October, Lomachenko organized a real flash mob on his social media to "save the children" of the abbot of the Banchenskyi Monastery, as well as the founder and head of the orphanage, Metropolitan Lonhin (in the world Mykhailo Zhar) of the UOC-MP.
