Scandalous Russian fighter was shamefully knocked out in the US. Video
Dagestan-based mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Abusupyan Magomedov suffered a crushing defeat in the main event of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament UFC on ESPN 48. The 32-year-old Russian was knocked out by American Sean Strickland.
Strickland chose a competent tactic for the fight, giving the initiative in the first round to his opponent.
During this 5-minute period, the Dagestani was completely out of breath and by the 2nd round was breathing heavily, barely dragging his feet.
The American fighter methodically worked in a stance, punching his opponent in the head with boxing punches over and over again.
After one of these hooks, Magomedov fell to the octagon floor. Strickland rushed to finish off his opponent, after which the referee immediately stopped the fight.
Russian fans did not appreciate the performance of their compatriot, calling it a disgrace.
It should be noted that in 2015 Magomedov was involved in a scandal that resulted in his being denied German citizenship. At a competition in Germany, he slapped a man who spat on his beard.
