The judges of the World Fencing Championship rejected the appeal of Russian Anna Smirnova against the result of the match with Ukrainian Olha Kharlan. The representative of the aggressor country went crazy by refusing to accept defeat and leave the track after our compatriot did not shake her hand.

Championship.com informs about it. Smirnova appealed the outcome of the fight, insisting that Harlan violated the FIE regulations and should be disqualified. The Russian began to pretend to be an innocent victim of aggression from the Ukrainian and waited 50 minutes for the judges' decision.

In the end, the referees decided in Olha's favor. Harlan advanced to the next round of the competition where she will face Ioanna Ilieva from Bulgaria.

It should be noted that Olha became the first Ukrainian who fought with the representative of the Russian Federation in fencing after the lifting of the ban of the Ministry of Sport on duels against aggressors. The day before, Ihor Reizlin refused to fight Vadim Anokhin.
