Russian gymnastics complained that the world is "trying to destroy everything associated with Russia"

Viner criticized FIG

The president of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, Irina Viner, was outraged that the international association (FIG) had excluded elements named after Russian athletes from the rules. The Vladimir Putin regime's henchwoman complained about the elimination of everything "associated with Russia."

Viner said this in a commentary to the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party expressed the absurd idea that in the absence of Russian athletes at international competitions, they are trying to simplify certain sports.

"This is justified by the fact that everything is simplified. These were good elements that the former president of the technical committee, Egle Abruzzini, introduced at the time. And now everything is being simplified, getting easier and easier. They are trying to destroy everything that happened with Russia. Just as in other areas, so in gymnastics. There is no need to be surprised. Unfortunately, this is 'normal' for today," Viner said.

Earlier, she said that the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team would boycott the 2024 Olympics. It is worth noting that only sisters Arina and Dina Averina announced their refusal to go to Paris, who announced their retirement in spite of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, athlete Ulyana Batashova was fired from the Russian national team and deprived of financial support after she received the so-called neutral status for participation in the 2024 Olympics.
