Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the World Boxing Council (WBC), presented the updated WBC World Champion belt. After the changes, the Russian flag was removed from the "facade" of the trophy and replaced with the flag of Saudi Arabia.

The Ukrainian symbols are still in the most important place. In addition, the belt now has an even more rounded shape, making it larger, and there are flags of different countries around the logo, not three stripes, but four.

WBC Ukraine President Mykola Kovalchuk posted a detailed explanation of the changes in the trophy on his Instagram.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on December 12, WBA, WBC, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) arrived in Riyadh to fight Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). At the exit of the airport in Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian was greeted by a crowd of compatriots.

In the first fight, Oleksandr defeated Tyson by split decision - 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 - and became the absolute world heavyweight champion.
