Välbe is fascinated by the situation in Mariupol

Three-time Olympic champion Yelena Välbe made a disgusting and hypocritical statement about the war in Ukraine. The President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation admired what is happening in Mariupol, which was destroyed by Russia, and called on the occupiers to buy an apartment in the destroyed city.

Välbe said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The former athlete and member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party added that the terrorist state will rebuild the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, and she herself will allegedly visit the occupied territories.

"As I understand it, this dam is a tragedy, but we will build a new one, right? Look at the way Mariupol is looking, it's fantastic. You need to buy an apartment there as soon as possible before the price tag goes up. By the way, I've never been to these parts. I was in Ukraine once, when I took my son Franz to Simferopol from Tallinn for a month and a half. Simferopol did not accept us, and we were put in Kyiv. It was mid-January of '88," said Välbe.

Earlier, she threatened the West with the words "they understand nothing but force" and complained about her dislike of Russia. Välbae also complained about the difficulties in capturing Ukraine and demanded that Western countries apologize to Russia.

As a reminder, Mariupol was occupied by the Russian Federation in late May last year after a three-month blockade, during which the city was turned into ruins and more than 20,000 civilians are believed to have been killed.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, former Russian boxer and world champion Alexander Povetkin criticized Oleksandr Usyk and added that Ukrainians "just got lost."
