English Manchester City won the Champions League for the first time in its history. In the final match, Pep Guardiola's charges minimally defeated Italy's Inter.

The match ended 1-0 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. Thus, Man City sealed the treble with victories in the national championship, the domestic cup and the Champions League.

The first 20 minutes were a struggle in the center circle, where Inter, as the underdog in the encounter, did not cling to their goal, but with great aggression tried to respond to the famous opponent. Manchester City looked a little surprised by such fierce resistance to the Italians and could not come within dangerous distance of Andre Onan's goal.

Only by the 30th minute did the English team engage, orchestrating a number of dangerous attacks. One of them was blocked by Inter's goalkeeper.

By the 36th minute, the British suffered a serious loss. City manager and one of the leaders Kevin de Bruyne was forced to leave the pitch due to injury. The Belgian striker was replaced by Phil Foden.

Towards the end of the half Manchester City tried to stage something resembling an assault, but it did not even end with a shot on goal.

The second half began in a similar vein. The defense of both teams was vastly superior to the offense.

The game revived a little in the 58th minute when the defense of the team from Manchester just gave Mayhem Lautaro Martinez, he went one on one, shot from low to the right corner, but the goalkeeper was there and saved the champion of England from the sure goal.

Immediately on the counterattack, Nicolo Barella received a yellow card for a rough foul on Phil Foden.

The climax came in the 68th minute. A sustained attack by the Citizens led to a goal. Rhodri played a successful second half, hitting a gap in Inter's defence from 15 meters.

The Milanese could have equalized immediately afterwards, but Federico Dimarco hit the crossbar.

This noticeably enlivened the Italian players. ManCity clamped down on goal for a while, but did not concede a goal.

In the final minute, only Ederson's reaction saved the club from England after Ramelu Lukaku shot from close range.
