"Liar and coward": Fury's team pounced on Usik
The father of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) John Fury accused Olexandr Usik (20-0, 13 KOs) that our boxer is trying to ruin his opponent because of the April 29 fight. The representative of Gypsy King, as they call the Manchester native, noted that the Ukrainian, who holds three division titles, deliberately walked out of the spring fight for the sake of a big fee in Saudi Arabia.
Fury Sr. said this in an interview with YouTube channel Seconds Out. According to him, Usik could have earned nearly $22 million for the fight in the UK at Wembley Stadium, but refused to do so and lashed out at Tyson with allegedly unfounded accusations.
"There's only one liar, and that's Usik and his team. Even 30 percent of the fee was a lot for him. But he would still make 17 million pounds for a fight at Wembley. But the truth is that this little bunny doesn't want to fight Tyson. That shows what a big liar and coward he is. Team Usik are bad businessmen. What they are doing now proves that they are all cowardly liars because they are going to Saudi Arabia. He just ran out there, hid behind the backs of the Saudis and talks crap about Tyson," John Fury said.
Recall that Usik is scheduled to make a mandatory defense on August 26 against Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs). In December Saudi Arabia intends to organize the fights Usik - Fury and Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) - Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) in one night. The media has published the boxers' fees for the big show. That said, Anthony has already confirmed his fight against Deontay.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Olexandr Usik said that he was going to have a fight with Tyson Fury. Also, the Ukrainian boxer accused his British rival of lying, and then suddenly turned to the Gypsy King. In response, the Gypsy King's team noted that Usik is only interested in money.
