Italy hosted the Nations Cup series equestrian tournament: how Ukraine performed

The Longines EEF SERIES Nations Cup show jumping series started at Gorla Minora Italy on April 27.

The Ukrainian team consisting of Alisa Danilova, Nikolay Pilipeiko, Anastasia Bondareva and Alexander Prodan took part in the competition. With the result of 16 penalty points our team took the 8th place and the 3rd position in the general classification of the regional group South.

In general, this stage is the first qualifying competition, according to the results of which the top 5 teams from each region qualify for the two semifinals. Semifinals of groups South and Center will be held in late June in Vienna, Austria. The next competition with Ukraine will be held in the first week of June in Athens, and to get to the semifinals we are satisfied with any result.

Alisa Danilova performed on the 10-year old Holsteiner mare Cassinelle, Nikolai Pilipeiko on 9-year old self bred gelding Karat, Anastasia Bondareva on 14-year old Holsteiner gelding Calder and Alexander Prodan on 11-year old Belgian stallion. In November last year after a long break Ukraine debuted in the Cup of Nations with this group of young riders.

Also Anastasia Bondareva and Calder entered the top 10 riders in the route CSI3* Grand Prix, in the route on young horses, CSI3* height 140 cm - Alisa Danilova and Cassinel took 6th place, Anastasia Bondareva and Nastelina took 7th place.

This time compared to last time, the team as a whole and each of the riders individually have significantly improved their results, which gives us hope for significant progress in the future.
