"It doesn't work that way." Former world champion pointed out the inexplicable situation in the Lomachenko-Haney fight

Former world heavyweight champion Grigory Drozd (40-1, 28 KOs) said that referee Dave Moretti made the score 116-112 in favor of Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) during his fight with Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs). The famous Russian boxer is convinced that the Ukrainian won and had that victory stolen from him.

According to Drozd, he considers the score of 115:113 in favor of Loma to be a fair result of the fight.

"I watched the experts' comments...It doesn't happen that way with almost 100 out of 100 saying one way. Dave Moretti gave the tenth round to Haynie? I have no explanation for that. The man is either incompetent, although that's impossible at this level, or he has no conscience," the Russian boxer said on the Meta MMA Youtube channel.

Drozd has no doubt that Vasyl did more to win.

"He put more pressure, he threw more punches, the end was awesome. It's not fair judging. Vasya won this fight. At least a draw," Grigory added.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, famous Ukrainian welterweight boxer Taras Shelestyuk (19-0-1, 13 KOs), commenting on the Lomachenko vs. Haney, noticed Vasyl's key mistakes.

Lomachenko himself expressed confidence in his victory over American Devin Haney, saying that after watching a replay of the fight he credited himself with at least seven rounds out of 12.
