Olympic champion Yaroslava Maguchikh made a splash with her appearance at the ceremony honoring the world's best athletes of the year. The Ukrainian attended the World Athletics Awards 2024 event held the day before in Monaco, where she received one of the honorary awards.

The past year has become a historic one for Maguchikh and the best in her career. Our compatriot managed to break the world record in high jump, which had stood for 37 years, and became the winner of the Olympic Games. Yaroslava was awarded the title of the best athlete of 2024 in non-running disciplines.

The Ukrainian became one of the main stars of the ceremony in Monaco. Yaroslava attracted special attention not only for her results and well-deserved award, but also for her choice of outfit.

Maguchikh appeared in public in a luxurious dress with bare shoulders and low-heeled shoes. The 23-year-old from Dnipro complemented her look with a curly hairstyle, makeup with shiny eyeshadow and pink lipstick.

On the Instagram page of the International Federation of Athletics (World Athletics), fans from Ukraine and other countries showered Yaroslav with compliments.

Before that, Maguchikh admitted what happened to her after winning the 2024 Olympics. The athlete also spoke about the hate speech against her before the Games in Paris.
