"I don't care": Usyk laughed at Fury
Unified heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) has mocked Briton Tyson Fury for his fight against former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Francis Ngannou, which is scheduled for October 28. Our compatriot called the fight between the Gypsy King and an athlete who has never stepped into a boxing ring a fraud of fans.
Usyk stated this in an interview with the Ringpolska YouTube channel. The holder of three championship belts of the super heavyweight division expressed hope that someday he will fight with Fury, who, according to Oleksandr, is simply afraid to accept a fight with him.
"Fury and Ngannou? That's bullsh*t. Total scam. I don't think anything of it. I don't think anything about Greedy Belly. I don't give a sh*t about that. Fight with Tyson? I'd like to box Fury, of course. But I think he's a little bit afraid," Usyk said, replacing some expressions with English ones.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian will defend his belts against the British Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs) on August 26. In case of victory, Oleksandr hopes to fight for the title of absolute world champion with Fury, whom Usyk recently complimented. Tyson himself mocked the Ukrainian for the fight against his compatriot.
Saudi Arabia intends to organize Usyk - Fury and Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) - Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) fights in one night. The media published the boxers' fees for the grand show. That said, Anthony has already confirmed his bout against Deontay.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the famous Russian promoter Vladimir Khryunov wished Oleksandr defeat in the fight with Daniel Dubois. The Brit himself spoke about the fear he saw in the eyes of the Ukrainian during the duel of glances.
