Hundreds of thousands of dollars: it became known how much Mahuchikh earned in 2024
Olympic champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh managed to earn at least more than half a million dollars in 2024. The 23-year-old from Dnipro won the Paris Games, the Diamond League, and broke the world record in the high jump, which had stood for 37 years.
According to Forbes Ukraine, Mahuchikh earned $265,000 in prize money for her performances, the lion's share of which she received for winning gold at the Olympics in the French capital: $125,000 from the state budget and another $50,000 from the International Federation of World Athletics.
For winning the Diamond League final, Yaroslava added $30 thousand to her bank account. The Ukrainian won another $40,000 through victories at various stages of this tournament. Mahuchikh earned another $20,000 for her silver medal at the World Indoor Championships and gold at the Continental Championships.
At the same time, thanks to advertising and sponsorship contracts, the athlete received between 280 and 640 thousand dollars. The total amount of earnings of the Ukrainian world record holder may reach $900 thousand.
It should be noted that Mahuchikh supported the collection of volunteer Ihor Lachenkov for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The athlete also donated a large sum to an animal shelter.
On December 2, in Monaco, Yaroslava was named the World Athlete of the Year in non-running disciplines by World Athletics. Mahuchikh also said that her main goal is to break the record of a Russian athlete at the Olympic Games.
