"He copies my style. I'm afraid": Fury speaks about the fight with Usyk

World Boxing Council (WBC) belt holder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) is looking forward to his fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) on May 18. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is known, added that the Ukrainian allegedly copies his style.

Fury said this during a conversation with journalists in Morkama, and a video of his answers appeared on The Stomping Ground YouTube channel. The British boxer ironically noted that he was afraid of Usyk and was not sure whether he would be able to inflict any damage on our compatriot.

"This guy is slowly getting into my head, shutting me down from the inside. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to throw any punches during the fight. Look, he's copying me. He studied the best, and now he's copying my style. He scares me, I'm very scared. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store for this fight. You know, I'm becoming a big fan of Usyk," Fury said.

At the press conference in Morkama, Tyson also revealed his attitude towards Oleksandr and spoke about the disruption of the fight on February 17.

Earlier, the head of the WBC Mauricio Sulaiman came up with the idea of approving six judges at once, not three, to score the fight between Usyk and Fury. He predicted a catastrophe in the fight if his proposal was not supported, and also announced a radical decision regarding the fight.

Before that, Tyson mentioned the war in Ukraine. In turn, Oleksandr told what he would do if the Briton refused to enter the ring on May 18.

Earlier, two moles were found in Fury's team, and it also became known that the former Russian champion would return to the ring at a boxing event in Saudi Arabia. Also, British bookmakers changed their quotes for the fight and stopped considering their compatriot a favorite.
