"He can't. Nobody did it": boxing legend gave a disappointing prognosis for Usyk to fight Fury
Legendary world champion Evander Holyfield expressed his confidence that Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) will win the fight against Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs). The former holder of all heavyweight division belts doesn't see how the Ukrainian can deal with a bigger and more experienced opponent.
Holyfield expressed this opinion in an interview with Boxing Social. Holfield said no other fighter has ever seriously challenged Fury, although Tyson has been knocked out three times in his fights against Steve Cunningham and Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs).
"No, Usyk can't beat Fury. I think Tyson Fury showed that he's a great fighter. Of all the fighters, he's the only one who could make adjustments to his style, and adjustments make you better. No one has beaten him yet! I don't know how Usyk could beat Fury. No one has ever done that. And until Fury is beaten, how can you say anyone can do it? If nobody beat you, you haven't shown you can lose," Holyfield said.
Recall that Usyk is scheduled to make a mandatory defense on August 26 against Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs). In December Saudi Arabia intends to organize fights Usyk - Fury and Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) - Deontay Wilder in one night. The media published the boxers' fees for the grand show. That said, Anthony has already confirmed his fight against Deontay.
The Ukrainian boxer revealed that he was going to put up a fight with the Briton. Oleksandr also accused his opponent of lying, and then suddenly turned to the Gypsy King. In response, Tyson's team noted that Usyk is only interested in money.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Tyson Fury suddenly changed his rhetoric in his remarks about Alexander Usik, wishing him good luck. And former world champion Johnny Nelson trashed the British champion because of the fight with the Ukrainian. In turn, the legendary Hasim Rahman expressed confidence that Usyk would knock out Fury.
