Harlan becomes champion of the European Games 2023

Famous Ukrainian fencer Olga Kharlan has won a gold medal at the European Games, which are currently taking place in Krakow, Poland. The 32-year-old native of Mykolaiv defeated 19-year-old Ilinca Pantis from Romania in the tournament's decisive match in the single sabre event (15:3).

On her way to the final, Harlan defeated two Italian representatives in turn. In the quarter-finals, she defeated Rosella Gregorio (15:13), and in the 1/2 finals, Eloisa Pasao (15:12).

At the time of publication, Ukraine has already won 33 medals - 17 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze. Our team is in 3rd place in the unofficial medal standings.
