Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the governor of the Oryol region, Andrei Klitschkov, to discuss the development of football in the region. During the conversation, the Kremlin leader spoke about the presence of legionnaires in Russian football, which provoked ridicule from local fans.

Klitschkoff said that he was going to create a club that would feature only "local Oryol players, no legionnaires".

"That's not bad either. Legionnaires are also good, but everything is good in moderation," Putin said.

Users remind the president of other problems in the country and ridicule his expert opinion.

"I can also say platitudes, for example: "It is better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick", "Residents of the Belgorod region are very happy about the opening of the Yuri Pavlovich Semin Academy and generally support the development of football in the country", "Go pull the country out of the bottom, what do you care about football", commentators mock.

Putin is told that he does not know the right amount.

"Everything is good in moderation - this is what I would say about presidential terms. But apparently, it won't work anymore," "it's been 24 years of empty talk from an old, crazy old man..." - users say.
