World Boxing Council (WBC) belt holder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) will donate one million pounds ($1.25 million) of his fee for the fight with Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) to Ukraine. The relevant clause is in the British contract for the May 18 fight.
This was reported by The Independent. According to the publication, the total fee fund for the fight between Usik and Fury is $150 million, of which 70% will go to the British. At the same time, the Ukrainian portal Champion claims that Tyson will receive $69 million, and the Ukrainian will receive $34 million.
It should also be noted that Usyk demanded that Fury donate one million to Ukraine during negotiations on organizing the fight in March last year.
The day before, it became known what was depicted on Oleksandr's shorts in the May 18 fight. And artificial intelligence suggested how the fight between Usyk and Fury would end.
Before that, Tyson also reaffirmed that he would fight Usyk twice this year. And the British promoter Frank Warren mentioned the Russian Nikolay Valuev, promising that his wards would defeat the Ukrainian.
Earlier, the boxing teams had a fight that resulted in an autopsy on Tyson's father. Ukrainian Stanislav Stepchuk, who was hit in the head by John Fury, commented on the incident.
Later, the boxer's father apologized. In his turn, Tyson himself appeared in Saudi Arabia on crutches, puzzling fans and experts.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the referee of the Usyk-Fury fight became known. He has been involved in several curious situations. And promoter Eddie Hearn wished the Ukrainian a defeat in the fight.
