Former Serbian national team player says Russia will defeat Ukraine because "the dollar will soon fall" and "the Western bloc is almost defeated"
Former Serbian national footballer Nemanja Pejčinović called the war in Ukraine an attempt by Western countries to bring Russia to its knees. The former Lokomotiv Moscow and Fakel Voronezh player is confident that the aggressor country will win because "the dollar will soon fall, and people in the US are poor".
Pejčinović said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The Serb also expressed regret that "two Orthodox peoples are suffering, who should stick together" and issued a bunch of clichés about Russia's alleged wealth and resources.
"In fact, it is a conflict between Russia and the West. A conflict between the traditions of the Eastern bloc and the Western one. A war for culture. The West wants Russia to be on its knees. Because of resources - gold, drinking water, which is rare now, oil, coal. Russia is the first or second largest exporter of wheat and corn in the world. This means that Russia can build its economy on its own. And the Western bloc is almost overwhelmed. People in the US are poor. The dollar will soon fall, which means the conflict will be in Russia's favour. After that, the US will not have the factor of the strongest country in the world. Everyone is beginning to realise that they can live without the dollar," Pejčinović said.
Earlier, the famous Russian footballer Andrei Arshavin called for a friendly match with Brazil, which would be "a blow to the coalition that does not want to see us". This provoked ridicule from the fans.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Russia deceived the European Football Union (UEFA) and enrolled a club from occupied Crimea in the second league championship.
