"Everyone is tired of Ukraine's voice": Russian Olympic champion demands Russians return to world football

Zhurova supports the war against Ukraine

Olympic champion Svetlana Zhurova shared her fantasies that Russian football teams will soon return to international competitions. The State Duma deputy noted that the aggressor country should shut up the Ukrainians who are forcing the federations to maintain a categorical position on Russia.

Zhurova said this in an interview with the RB Sport portal. An accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime and an ardent fan of the war against our country, she hypocritically added that Russia is ready to "lend a helping hand" to football federations, and that "everyone is tired of Ukraine's voice."

"Nowadays, every federation is beginning to realize that it is wrong without Russians. Without a country like Russia, there is no sport. Plus, we have organizational capabilities, especially in football. We are always ready to lend a shoulder, as we did at the European Championships. What other country can lend a helping hand in such a short time and host the stages of the European Championship when there was a pandemic, and do it very quickly, in a very short time. And if Ukraine's voice is heard less and less in this context, because everyone is tired of it, we will wait for Russia's return to international competitions and UEFA tournaments," Zhurova said.

Earlier, Russian Premier League president Alexander Alaev complained that the European Football Union (UEFA) is unlikely to be able to return youth teams from Russia to its tournaments in the near future.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, representatives of Greece initiated the issue of returning Russian youth teams to UEFA tournaments. The president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Andriy Shevchenko reacted harshly to this.
