Former world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Hvozdyk (19-1, 15 KOs) does not share the position of Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs), who continues to gloss over the war in Ukraine. The day before, the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi native posted a congratulatory message on the trainer's day instead of condemning the Russian occupants for the strike on Odesa.

In an interview with FanDay, Hvozdyk noted that Lomachenko's stance is sure to delight Russians, who consider it the only correct one. At the same time, the 36-year-old Kharkiv resident did not condemn his compatriot for his silence, noting that everyone has the right to make their own choice.

"Everyone makes their own choices. What is right and wrong is a philosophical question. If you ask a Russian about Lomachenko, almost everyone will tell you that this silence is the right position. Let Vasyl decide for himself what is the right position for him and how to behave, and then people can draw conclusions. I do not approve of his position," Hvozdyk said.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Vasyl Lomachenko updated the title picture in his Facebook account, scaring off the Russians. The Olympic champion posted a shot with the Ukrainian flag, taken after the fight against Devin Haynie.
