Unbeaten Ukrainian WBO International lightweight champion Denis Berinchik (18-0, 9 KOs) won his fight against Anthony Yigit (26-4-1, 10 KOs) from Sweden. The fight in Wroclaw, Poland, on the undercard of the Usyk-Dubois boxing show ended with a unanimous decision of the judges (117-111, 116-112, 115-113).

The first round passed in a kind of reconnaissance, without any active actions on the part of both fighters. Both the Swede and the Ukrainian fought with non-dangerous jabs. Boxing "chess" continued in the second three-minute round.

Starting from the third round Denis captured the center of the ring, defending flawlessly, but without much progress in attack. Yigit was working second hand, trying to catch his opponent.

Denis did not allow Yigit to work with his front hand, constantly knocking him off his rhythm. In general, the fight was not full of bright moments.

In the 5th round the representative of Sweden received a serious dissection above the left eyebrow. The Swede landed a lot of punches, but almost all of them found only a void.

In the 6th round Denis made an explosive attack, working perfectly with series of punches both to the body and to the head.

The boxer from Ukraine gradually intercepted the initiative, often picking up cones of 3 minutes. The championship rounds went under the dictation of Berinchik, who got a well-deserved victory.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, his last fight Denis held in December last year against Ivan Mendy (47-6-1, 22 KOs) from France. There 34-year-old native of Krasnodon at the stadium of the London soccer club "Tottenham Hotspur" won the belt of the European champion according to EBU.

Denis made his last defense in December 2021. A tense fight against Russian Isa Chaniev (15-3, 7 KOs) in Brovary in the ring of the shopping center "Terminal" ended with the victory of the Ukrainian on points: 116:112, 118:110, 118:111.

Prior to that, the Ukrainian defeated Romanian Viorel Simion (22-3, 9 KOs) in October 2020.
