After "winning the special miloitary operation in 2024," Russia proposes to "send FIFA, UEFA and IOC to hell"
Former USSR and Spartak goalkeeper and former member of the Russian Football Union's ethics committee Anzor Kavazashvili was unhappy with the decision to stay in Europe and not join the Asian Confederation. On December 20, at a meeting of the RFU Executive Committee, it was decided that the transition to Asia without guarantees from FIFA to participate in international tournaments makes no sense.
Kavazashvili believes that by refusing to move to Asia, Russia necessarily makes itself dependent on the whims of FIFA and UEFA.
"So today I cannot fully understand the leaders of the Russian Federation. What are they hoping for? The only thing is that they may know more than I. If they know that in 2024 the special military operation will end with Russia's victory, that's another matter. If we dictate our terms after the victory, FIFA, UEFA and the IOC will go to hell. In this case, the world will have an Asian confederation, a new international organization instead of FIFA, and a new European organization instead of UEFA," the 83-year-old Batumi native told RB Sport.
Russian fans reacted strongly to the former Soviet goalkeeper's pompous speech.
"I sincerely don't understand why sports journalists are even asking old geezers for comments. who think Asia is not part of FIFA, the victory in the special military operation is tomorrow and that's it," users write.
Georgian Russian is advised to get treatment.
Many people assume that the opposite will happen.
