The Women's World Cup final was stopped for almost a minute by an anti-Putin performance. In the 24th minute, an unknown fan in a black T-shirt with a yellow and blue image of Ukraine and the inscriptions "Stop putler" and "Free Ukraine" ran onto the field.
It also featured a Hitler-styled portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The man also had a flag with him, but dropped it before reaching the field. The stadium security quickly felled the offender and took him to the under-table room.
The Women's World Cup final between Spain and England ended with a minimal victory for the Furia Roja. The only goal was scored by Real Madrid defender Olga Carmona in the 29th minute. In the 70th minute Spain failed to realize a penalty.
The Spaniards became world champions for the first time in history. For England, the second place at the World Cup is the best result in the history of the national team.
