"99% will be given to to Fury": the first UFC champion from Russia said that the results of Tyson and Usyk's fights were rigged
Oleg Taktarov, the first Russian champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), believes that the result of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) was rigged. According to him, the promoters are interested in the Ukrainian and the Briton having three fights.
Taktarov said this in an interview with Championat.com. The Russian expressed the opinion that Fury will win in the rematch, and then the organizers of boxing nights from Saudi Arabia will announce the decision to organize a trilogy of Oleksandr and Tyson because of the financial component.
"I don't think they specifically wanted to end the fight this way, so that questions would remain. But no one knows for sure. They are well aware that they won't get as much money as for the rematch anywhere else. And they want to make two more fights. 99% that the next fight will be given to Fury. And then there will definitely be a trilogy. They are both set on it," Taktarov said.
Earlier, a Russian who told tall tales about our country spouted nonsense that Usyk could not be considered a boxing legend because of his patriotic stance.
Saudi Arabia has already officially announced the date of the boxers' rematch. In turn, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) has decided to deprive the Ukrainian of his belt.
There was also an unexpected twist to the Usyk-Fury rematch. It happened after Croatian Filip Hrgovic (17-1, 14 KOs) lost to British Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs).
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, artificial intelligence has made a forecast for the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. It also revealed the reason for the Ukrainian's suspension from boxing. In addition, the first bookmaker's forecast for the second fight between Usyk and Fury appeared.
