Zelenskyy meets with Patriarch Bartholomew: they talked about the formula for peace and the return of children. Photos and video
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who arrived on an official visit to Turkey, took part in a prayer service in memory of all those killed in the war unleashed by Russia. Together with Patriarch Bartholomew, he discussed the prospects for implementing a peace formula for Ukraine and the return of children who were forcibly taken by the occupiers to Russian territories.
The footage was published by the press service of the Presidential Office. Bartholomew noted that it is always an honour for him to receive Zelenskyy on the territory of the cathedral (to watch the video, scroll to the end).
"Thank you for your unwavering support and prayers for peace, for condemning aggression and crimes, for comprehensive assistance to Ukrainians affected by the war!" - said the leader of the nation.
The prayer service was led in Ukrainian and Greek by the Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne, Father Methodius, and the Patriarchal Deacon, Father Epiphanius. The priests expressed their firm belief that the war would be crowned with Ukraine's victory.
