Zelenskyy arrives on a visit to Canada

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrives in Canada and meets with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The two will attend a ceremony to sign an agreement to further strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

On September 21-22, the Ukrainian leader was accompanied by First Lady Olena Zelenska. This is reported by the Canadian Prime Minister's website (to view the photo, scroll to the end).

It is noted that in Ottawa, Trudeau will meet with Zelenskyy to reaffirm Canada's continued military, economic, and humanitarian support for Ukraine, which continues to defend itself against Russia's brutal aggressive war.

At the same time, after signing the bilateral agreements, the Ukrainian president is expected to deliver an address to the Canadian parliament.

Afterward, the leaders will travel to Toronto to meet with Canadian business representatives "to strengthen private sector investment in Ukraine's future." They will also attend an event with the Ukrainian Canadian community.

Later, Zelenskyy posted on his Telegram about the agenda of the talks with Trudeau. In particular, the politicians will discuss defense cooperation and the implementation of the Peace Formula. In addition, the Ukrainian leader announced the signing of important bilateral documents that will strengthen Ukrainian-Canadian economic ties.

The President of Ukraine is also planning to meet with the Governor General of Canada, deliver a speech in Parliament, communicate with MPs, and with the Canadian public: business representatives, opinion leaders, and the Ukrainian community.

"I am sure it will be meaningful. We are grateful to Canada for its principled leadership support," Zelenskyy wrote.

On the eve of his meeting with Zelenskyy, the Canadian prime minister reiterated his words that the Ukrainian people are "the tip of the spear that will shape the future of the 21st century." He stated that his country unwaveringly supports Ukrainians who are fighting for their sovereignty and democracy, as well as for our shared values of respect for the rule of law, freedom and self-determination.

"I look forward to welcoming President Zelenskyy to Canada to continue our support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people as they struggle with the consequences of Russia's brutal war of aggression," Trudeau said.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the President of Ukraine met with US leader Joe Biden. With a key ally in the war against Russia, Zelenskyy discussed the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive and the ATACMS missiles that the United States is expected to provide.
