Zelensky had 'concrete' conversation with Macron on security guarantees: details

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a conversation with the President of France Emmanuel Macron. According to Zelensky, an important agreement on security guarantees was reached: the Ukrainian and French teams will work on the relevant bilateral document.

Zelensky reported on the talks in his Telegram channel on September 3. "As always, a thorough and concrete conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron," he said.

The President added that during the conversation, the situation on the battlefield and each of the directions were discussed in detail.

"Passed on the current defense needs and thanked for the strong defense support and constant assistance in expanding the capabilities of our warriors. France really appreciates freedom and helps to defend it," Zelensky said.

He also said that one of the topics of conversation with Macron was also the grain agreement, as well as security guarantees for Ukraine.

"We discussed specifics on security in the Black Sea, our "grain corridor", which should be continued. Agreed to strengthen cooperation in the protection of sea routes. An important agreement on security guarantees: our teams - Ukraine and France - will work on a bilateral document on guarantees," Zelensky informed.

Also, according to the guarantor, during the discussion they discussed the preparation of the Global Peace Summit and the active leadership participation of France in the work on the implementation of the Peace Formula.

"It is very important that as many countries of the world as possible join, in particular the states of the Global South. France and its companies will participate in our actively preparing Defense Industries Forum. This has also been agreed upon," the Ukrainian leader said.
