Zelensky arrived in Odesa region

On November 29, President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived on an official visit to Odesa region. The meeting began with a report from military commanders on the situation in the Black Sea and the combat situation within the area of responsibility of the Odesa Joint Forces Operation.

This was reported by the press service of the Presidential Office. The presidential delegation also included the head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

"We are interested in the situation in the Black Sea, mine action and ensuring the security of the grain corridor. The work of the air defense of Odesa region, the air cover of Odesa, the infrastructure of the "grain corridor" and our brigades," Zelensky explained the purpose of his visit.

The President also met with and thanked the soldiers of the Defense Forces for the defense of Odesa region. He presented state awards to everyone who showed courage in defending the southern borders of our country.

After the meeting with the military, the President went to check the humanitarian situation. He went to the Odesa Regional Center for helping IDPs. Nowadays, it is mostly inhabited by residents of Kherson who are forced to flee from the occupation and daily attacks of Russia.

"Today, in wartime, it is imperative to take care of those who need it. Protecting and restoring normal life for everyone is our priority," Zelensky said after talking to entire IDP families.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Zelensky called the expulsion of the Russian military fleet from the Black Sea the greatest achievement of the Defense Forces, thanks to which Ukraine is able to continue to maintain superiority off its coast.
