"Why didn't anyone choose a fight?" Former world champion from Russia criticizes Usyk-Fury rematch

Lebedev praises Usyk and Fury's rematch

Former world heavyweight champion Denis Lebedev criticized Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) for not fighting in the rematch on December 21. The Russian expressed confidence that the boxers should have taken more risks, although the fight turned out to be incredibly interesting for fans and experts.

Lebedev voiced this opinion in a commentary to the propaganda publication Sport-Express. The former athlete added that Usyk continues to demonstrate incredible skills and is by far the best in the super-heavyweight division, where he has defeated all the top fighters, but he did not rule out another confrontation between the Ukrainian and Fury.

"I think a third fight is quite possible. It was a great fight. Fury wanted to win, it was obvious. To be honest, I thought there would be a fight this time. I'm surprised! Such mastodons... Why didn't anyone choose the tactic of forcing a fight? I always looked at my opponents. I'm sure they did the same. Didn't they take into account the fight between Dereck Chisora and Usyk... And now with every fight Oleksandr is showing himself better and better. He hasn't changed his movement technique. His speed hasn't dropped. Everything is classic," Lebedev said.

Denis Lebedev was a WBA world champion.

It should be noted that another Russian media outlet ridiculously accused Usyk of "siding with terrorists." After the rematch with Fury, our compatriot reminded the Russians of the will of the Ukrainian people by raising the saber of Hetman Ivan Mazepa above his head. The details of this performance were later revealed.

We would like to remind you that all three judges of the Usyk-Fury 2 fight gave the victory to the Ukrainian boxer with a score of 116-112. In addition, it became known what result was recorded by artificial intelligence.

Former champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) gave his version of the rounds. And the legendary Lennox Lewis admitted that he was not impressed with the fight.

This angered Tyson, who called himself the strongest with a difference of at least three rounds. The Briton also staged a demarche after the fight.

At the same time, impressive statistics of the opponents' punches in the fight were published. A photo showed what Fury's face looked like after 100 missed punches from Usyk.

After the victory, the Ukrainian boxer decided on his next opponent and also made a confession about his rematch with Tyson.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Paris Fury's reaction was caught on camera when Oleksandr was announced the winner of the rematch with Tyson. In addition, the fight was shown in a famous cartoon. And in Russia, fake words of the British about Volodymyr Zelensky began to spread.
