On Friday, August 2, our high jumpers will start competing at the Olympic Games in Paris. Yuliia Levchenko, Iryna Herashchenko, and world number one Yaroslava Mahuchikh will compete for gold at the 2024 Games.

The qualification starts on August 2 at 11:15 a.m. Kyiv time. All athletes who have met the qualification standard (197 cm) or at least 12 athletes with the best results will advance to the finals.

The decisive battle for medals at the athletics stadium in Paris will begin on Sunday, August 4 at 20:55 Kyiv time.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian athletes have already arrived in the French capital and are ready for the competition.

Ukrainian fans will be able to watch the performance of our compatriots through live broadcasts on the Supilne Sport platform and regional channels of Suspilne TV, which are available on Megogo media service and T2 digital terrestrial television.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on July 7, Mahuchikh broke the world record in the women's high jump, which had been held since 1987. The 22-year-old from Dnipro became the first woman in history to jump 2.10 meters at the Diamond League in Paris.

Afterwards, the Parisian stadium Sebastian Charlette gave Yaroslava a standing ovation. The spectators, who came to cheer on the athletes, went into a branded frenzy after the Ukrainian's record-breaking jump.

By the way, 22-year-old Yaroslava has been dating the coach's son, Nazar, for a long time. Stepanov is 19 years old and also a professional athlete, competing in the 110-meter hurdles.
