What to do to make mangoes ripen faster and taste better: a simple life hack
Mango is a juicy, refreshing, and incredibly tasty tropical fruit. In India, this fruit is even given as a sign of respect and a wish for good health, as it contains many vitamins.
In Ukraine, mangoes are available in every supermarket. But in order to eat it right away, you need to know how to choose ripe fruits or know life hacks that will help mangoes ripen much faster. Blogger Tetiana Titarenko shared these tips on Instagram.
How do you "ripen" a mango?
Quite often, supermarkets organize promotions that make it very profitable to buy mangoes. However, most often, such fruits are either not of the first freshness or, on the contrary, are not yet ripe.
If you decide to buy a green mango, it is important to do everything right so that the fruit ripens and tastes good. Otherwise, you can simply spoil the fruit, as well as all the pleasure of eating it.
To prevent this from happening, the mango should be wrapped in parchment paper and placed in a dark place for 2-4 days. After three days, you should feel the fruit to the touch. If it is soft, the mango is ready to eat. If not, wrap it again in parchment and leave it for another two days.
