What not to cook on Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, which precedes Christmas, it is customary to prepare 12 meatless dishes, as the Christmas fast is still ongoing. The main dishes are kutia, donuts, and uzvar. They must be present on the festive table.

The rest of the dishes can be chosen by the hostesses according to their own wishes and preferences. However, there are dishes that are strictly forbidden to serve on Christmas Eve. FoodOboz figured out what kind of dishes we are talking about.

What can't be served on Christmas Eve?

All dishes on the festive table should be lean. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to use such products as meat, lard, eggs, milk and other animal products.

Uzvar is obligatory on Christmas Eve.
