Former world champion in two weight categories Paul Malignaggi (36-8, 7 KOs) made his forecast for the fight between WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and WBC titleholder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). The fight will take place in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on May 18.
According to the 43-year-old American, who now works as a boxing expert, the Briton will win this fight.
"Usyk will lose to Fury and then immediately retire. He will end his career even earlier than Terence Crawford. In fact, he will be the next fighter to retire. I won't say anything bad about him. He's a solid player in the division. But immediately after the defeat, he will realize that he has no chance to come back and regain all the titles," Vringe.com quoted Malignaggi as saying.
The former world champion believes that Fury has an absolute advantage in terms of anthropometric parameters.
"Despite the fact that Oleksandr has done a great job in heavyweight, winning all three titles, it will be very, very difficult for him with his health. Fury, of course, can announce his retirement again. Don't get me wrong, but this guy retires every two weeks. But I believe that Usyk will not win this fight," Paul said.
