The Ukrainian boxer made a frank statement

WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) has announced that he will become the Minister of Sports in the future. In an interview with the Polish YouTube channel Kanal Sportowy, our compatriot admitted that he also wants to work with children.

"To work with children not only in sports but also in education: psychology, healthy lifestyle. [To teach them to think with their own heads, not to listen to who says what. To teach them some things that I can do. I would love to be the Minister of Sports. And I will become one," the Ukrainian boxer said.

Earlier, Oleksandr called on Ukrainians to unite around the country and prevent Russia from destroying it. The boxer explained that he did not leave after the full-scale invasion of Russia on February 24, 2022, because everyone had to help resist the aggression of the terrorist state.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Usyk admitted that after his sports career is over, he plans to work as president of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation. Oleksandr also answered the question of whether he was going to run for president of the country.
