WBA, WBC, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) admitted that he did not want to hurt Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) because he was thinking about his family. According to the Ukrainian, he deliberately did not put pressure on his opponent in the 8th round.

"I didn't want to hurt him, I was just boxing. I don't need to do this, to cause harm. I know what boxing is. I know that after the fight he will go home to his children, to his wife. It's a bad thing when you hurt your opponent," the Ukrainian said on the TNTSportsBoxing YouTube channel.

It's worth noting that Fury agreed with the referee's decision not to count his defeat by knockout in the ninth round. The Gypsy King, as the Briton is called, frankly admitted that he had a difficult moment when the Ukrainian started beating him.

In the first fight, Oleksandr defeated Tyson by split decision - 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 - and became the absolute world champion.
