The owner of the World Boxing Council belt, Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), has for the first time admitted the fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) as historic. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is called, noted that no show could compete with the fight on May 18.

Fury said this on the air of the DAZN streaming platform, the Mirror portal reports. The British champion emphasized that the winner of his confrontation with the Ukrainian would be the best in the current era of boxing, and this will be an objective reality, as both rivals have not yet lost.

"There are so many belts at stake and nothing can compete with this. This is a fight of the ages, nothing can be compared to this. It's two undefeated heavyweight champions fighting for all four belts, and it's never happened before. Both guys have beaten the others, that's all. Whoever wins this fight will be the best in this era, regardless of anyone's opinion or what anyone wants to say. Whoever wins between Usyk and me will be the best of this era," Fury said.
