Servant of the People star on auditions with Zelensky: neither he nor I were approved

Actress Vitalina Bibliv has starred in many Ukrainian TV series, including the movie Servant of the People. The actress admits that this film is not her first work with the former actor and now President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Bibliv said this in an interview with OBOZ.UA. The actress says that she used to host corporate events where Kvartal 95 performed, and also recalled how she and Volodymyr took part in a movie audition for a movie where they were supposed to play a husband and wife.

"Once upon a time, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelensky and I auditioned together at Dovzhenko Film Studio. I knew him well, he was a KVN star, and I couldn't stop watching this program on weekends. I remember how we practiced our dialog lines together in the studio garden. It was 2004 or 2005. We were supposed to play a husband and wife, but neither he nor I were approved for the role. Later we crossed paths: we worked at corporate events, I took part in the filming of Kvartal 95, but I'm not sure he will remember those auditions," says Vitalina Bibliw.

The actress also recalled how she first met another famous actor, Nazar Zadniprovsky, at an audition, with whom she later formed a wonderful tandem in the series House of Happiness. In an interview with OBOZ.UA, the actor said that they didn't hit it off right away. However, Vitalina was surprised to hear about it.

"I don't know why he said that. Perhaps he was referring to our acquaintance, which was not very pleasant for me," says the actress. "On the very day we were called to the audition, it started snowing heavily in Kyiv. And Zadniprovsky was two and a half hours late. And as a daughter of the military, I don't accept this at all. So, of course, when he came, I was already wound up - I had wound myself up. That was the only thing - there was nothing else. Nazar and I developed a very warm relationship. Of course, the first days, weeks, first episodes, we were getting used to each other. I'm a bit of a temperamental lady, and Nazar knows that."
