The main intrigue of the fight Usyk – Fury is announced

Maksym InshakovNews
The fight is scheduled for February 17

Famous British trainer Adam Booth has made his forecast for the super heavyweight championship fight between Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). According to the expert, the main intrigue of the confrontation will be whether the Ukrainian will be able to adapt to his opponent's boxing style.

Booth admitted that Oleksandr has changed a lot since his debut in the heavyweight division. He's become a boxer who can go the full twelve rounds.

"If you look at his fight with Chisora in October 2020, you'll notice that he tried his best to keep the pace in that fight. Now the Ukrainian's progress is an indisputable fact," Adam Booth was quoted as saying by boxing247.com.

At the same time, the British coach does not hide the fact that he has always favored Fury in a confrontation with Usyk because "he is very big, very long and can move very well for such a big man."

"He may try to win with dirty tricks, but at the same time he will remain as long and cunning. If Fury goes the right way, Usyk will be in big trouble. Especially if he chooses the right time to move, when to box, and when to deceive him. For me, the most interesting thing will be to see how Usyk adapts to each of these moments. It's very exciting. This is the best fight in the heavyweight division," Adam Booth summarized.

Undefeated boxers will fight for the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO championships on February 17 for the first time in the history of the four-belt era.

On January 25, it became known that the Usyk-Fury fight faced a serious problem.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the winner of the historic fight for the absolute heavyweight title between Fury and Usyk will receive a special new belt.

Former cruiserweight world champion and now boxing analyst Johnny Nelson has suggested that this fight between the British and Ukrainian will not take place.

Earlier this evening was scheduled for December 23, but Tyson Fury was cut during his fight with Francis Ngannou and the fight was postponed. Before that, Oleksandr Usyk fought Daniel Dubois, where he won by knockout.

The last absolute champion in heavyweight was Lennox Lewis - in 1999, he held the WBA, WBC, and IBF belts, which was enough for such a title.

Former world champion in four weight categories Roy Jones Jr. expressed confidence that Oleksandr will face his main problem in the fight with Tyson – the lack of a powerful knockout punch.
