The XXXIII Summer Olympics have ended in the French capital. From July 26 to August 11, nearly 11,000 athletes from 206 countries competed in Paris for 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.

The flag of Ukraine at the show was carried by wrestler Parviz Nasibov and rower Liudmyla Luzan.

The next Summer Olympics will be held in 2028 from July 14 to July 30 in Los Angeles, USA.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Ukrainian national team has completed its performance at the Games in Paris, winning 12 awards - 3 gold medals, 5 silver and 4 bronze. Our country was represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who competed in 23 sports.

The Yellow and Blues opened their medal account on the third day of the competition. " Fencer Olga Kharlan won bronze for our team.

On August 1, Serhii Kulish became the vice-champion of the Olympic Games in small-caliber rifle shooting from three positions at a distance of 50 meters.

On August 3 , Ukraine won the first gold medal of the 2024 Games.

On August 4, Yaroslava Maguchikh won the country's second highest award in the high jump. Another high jumper, Iryna Gerashchenko, was third. " Mykhailo Kokhan won bronze in the hammer throw tournament.

On August 7, boxer Oleksandr Khyzhniak won the third highest award of the Olympics for the national team.

On August 5, Ilia Kovtun took second place in the parallel bars competition.

On August 8, Greco-Roman wrestlers brought two medals to the national team's treasury. Parviz Nasibov took silver, and Zhan Beleniuk took bronze.

On August 9, Liudmyla Luzan and Anastasiia Rybachok won silver medals in the 500-meter canoe double race.

On August 10 , wrestler Iryna Koliadenko won the fifth silver medal for the "yellow and blue" team.
