Spicy potato casserole: an unusual recipe from a familiar vegetable

Potatoes are a versatile vegetable that can be used to prepare a large number of main dishes. It can also be served in various variations as a side dish. Almost every day, new and interesting recipes using potatoes appear in the world.

For example, food blogger Ilona Shevchuk recently shared a recipe for a creamy potato gratin on her Instagram. She says that this dish is the best fate of potatoes. The casserole is very tender and spicy.

Ingredients

  • Medium potatoes - 6-7 pcs
  • Sour cream - 3 tbsp
  • Fat cream - 80 ml
  • Suluguni - 50 gr
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Dill
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method of preparation

1.Wash the potatoes and cut them into thin rings.

2. Put sour cream, cream, cheese, dill and garlic in a separate bowl. Stir to combine.

3. Add potatoes, salt, pepper to the mixture and mix thoroughly again.

4. Put into a baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, add a sprig of rosemary if desired.

5. Cover with foil and put in a preheated 200-degree oven for 60 minutes.

6. Remove the foil from the gratin and bake for another 15-20 minutes with a fan for a nice crust.

7. Check the readiness of the potatoes with a fork, because different varieties of potatoes require different cooking times.
