Sensational details of the Usyk – Fury rematch contract revealed
Frank Warren, the promoter of Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs), has announced that his client and WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) have agreed to a trilogy if the British boxer wins the second fight. Warren revealed the sensational details on the Boxing News YouTube channel, answering questions about Fury's prospects.
The journalist admitted that he had seen several comments where Tyson predicted a fight with Dubois if Daniel defeated Joseph Parker. The interviewer asked Warren if he thinks that the trilogy if Fury is successful on Saturday, will outweigh everything else.
"Yes, it will, because it's in the contract. Whatever happens, if Tyson wins, provided no one retires, then he will be obliged to continue the trilogy. He's already had one incredible trilogy with Deontay Wilder that will be remembered forever. And he can start another one with Oleksandr Usyk," the promoter admitted.
Warren believes that a victory on December 21 will mean a lot to Fury.
"After his last fight, a lot of sports observers, not just boxing observers, but also some critics, said that Usyk is now the best heavyweight of his generation. He deserves to be mentioned alongside Ali, Luis, Marciano, and other great fighters of the past. If Tyson beats him, then it will be Tyson. And I think he's already there. The fact that he's a two-time world champion, that he's won titles on the road, in other countries or on foreign soil, speaks volumes. He is a great fighter. If he copes with this, he will become even better," the British promoter summarized.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Warren recently spoke about his client's rematch with the absolute champion of the super-heavyweight division, Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs). Frank is happy with the time chosen for the second fight.
Earlier, Warren, commenting on the first fight, expressed confidence that Tyson was doing everything right, but everything changed after the Ukrainian's accurate punch in the 7th round. After that, Usyk found the strength to turn the tide of the fight.
On May 18, in Riyadh, Usyk defeated WBC champion Tyson Fury and became the owner of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and WBC heavyweight belts.
The second meeting is scheduled for December 21. It has already become known where you can watch the fight in Ukraine, and the bookmakers' forecast has also appeared.
