Autumn is the season for the most flavorful pastries and other pumpkin dishes. It is this product that gives dishes an autumnal mood, bright color and a sense of warmth.

A food blogger with the nickname recepty przepisy shared on Instagram how to make pumpkin buns. The cook also shared her secret of what to add to the dough to make it melt in your mouth.

Ingredients for the dough

  • Pressed yeast - 35 g
  • Warm milk - 200 ml
  • Sugar - 100 gr
  • Eggs - 2 pcs
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Vanilla sugar - 15 g
  • Pumpkin puree - 130 g
  • Melted butter - 80 gr
  • Flour - 540 g

Additional ingredients

  • Melted butter - 40 g
  • Roasted hazelnuts - 100 g
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Cocoa

Ingredients for the glaze

  • Powdered sugar
  • Cream

How to cook

1.Prepare the dough. Combine 100 ml of milk with 1 tbsp of sugar, 3 tbsp of flour and yeast in a deep bowl. Mix well and leave for 15-20 minutes.

2. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, the remaining sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar. Beat with a whisk.

3. Add the brew, the rest of the milk and pumpkin puree to the egg mixture. Mix, gradually adding the flour.

4. Knead the soft dough and leave it in a warm place under a towel for 1 hour.

5. Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle. Brush it with butter.

6. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, cocoa and chopped nuts.

7. Fold the long edges of the rectangle inward.

8. Cut the dough into strips.

9. Cut each strip in half lengthwise without cutting to the end and twist both parts together.

10. Place the buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover with a towel and leave for 20 minutes.

11. Bake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

12. Prepare the icing. Combine powdered sugar and cream, mix well.

13. Pour the icing over the buns.
