Princess Eugenie reveals an interesting fact about the "jump" of Elizabeth II and James Bond with a parachute

The late Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain was known for her incredible sense of humor. She proved this fact about herself, in particular, at the opening of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, when she "jumped" with James Bond, played by actor Daniel Craig. This performance is still considered to be the most spectacular start to the Olympics in its history and the most spectacular appearance of Her Majesty, who was 86 years old at the time. Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, revealed an interesting fact about the "special mission" of 007 and her grandmother.

It turned out that not only those present at the stadium and the audience near the screens but also all members of the royal family did not know about Elizabeth II's "jump," so it was a big shock for them as well. Eugenie spoke about this in the White Wine Question Time podcast, Express writes.

The appearance of the "Queen" in the sky above the stadium with a parachute in the colors of the British flag was a surprise for absolutely everyone.

Moreover, the sovereign's family had no idea that Elizabeth II had agreed to shoot the sketch that was shown during the opening before the jump, which was, in fact, a logical continuation of this humorous video.

"Nobody knew... it was amazing. We were all surprised," Princess Eugenie said.

She noted that it was from her grandmother that she "learned how to do these things correctly." The princess also confirmed that Elizabeth II had an incredible sense of humor, which everyone adored. Although the royal family was surprised to see the opening of the 2012 Olympics, it was not a shock to them that Her Majesty agreed to this adventure.

"She was one of the best people in the world. Her sense of duty, commitment, and love for her people really came through in public, as you all saw, and it came through in private with us. We also learned from her how to do certain things, how to talk to people, to stay strong, obedient, and kind, she really instilled that in us. She had an incredible sense of humor. When she passed away, I told people how lucky I was to have a piece of her in me," Princess Eugenie said.
