Polish protesters stopped a passenger bus at the Rawa Ruska-Hrebenne checkpoint on the border between Ukraine and Poland. Moreover, one of the passengers was detained by unknown persons. Ukraine officially demands a response from the Polish government.

The incident was reported by the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov. "The situation is already starting to get out of control and beyond the limits of a civilized protest. There are women and children on the bus who cannot be held hostage. I emphasized this during a conversation with Jacek Siewiera, the head of Poland's National Security Bureau. This is a dangerous situatuion that will be fully used by the Russians to split European unity. We are sure that such actions are supported by an absolute minority in Poland. I am sure that the Polish government definitely does not support such actions. Their immediate reaction is important," he said.

According to media reports, Polish protesters stopped a passenger bus at a border crossing point. One of the passengers, allegedly an Israeli citizen, was detained by unknown persons.

In addition, according to the Ministry, as of 5:30 p.m., passenger traffic was blocked at other checkpoints, including Dołhobyczów-Uhrynów  and Zosin-Ustyluh.

At the same time, the protesters assured Ukrainian border guards that after a full 4-hour blockade of the Zosin-Ustyluh checkpoint, they would allow passenger buses to pass without any problems. In addition, starting at 16:00, the protesters promised to let 5 cars pass in both directions every half hour:

"As for the trucks, one truck will be allowed to leave Ukraine and three trucks will be allowed to enter Ukraine per hour. The protest will not affect bus traffic and will be carried out as usual," Marharyta Vershynina, a spokeswoman for the Volyn border guard detachment said.

As reported, these are not the only illegal actions of Polish protesters on the border with Ukraine. On the morning of February 20, they blocked the railroad near the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint and poured grain out of freight cars, about 4 tons of corn. This is despite the fact that Ukraine does not sell corn to Poland at all.
