Former absolute heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) received a round of applause from the fans who gathered at the O2 Arena in London to watch the Joe Joyce-Dereck Chisora fight. Our compatriot was given a branded standing ovation.

After the host announced that the Ukrainian champion was present at the fight, the hall erupted in enthusiastic cheers. Usyk had to stand up and greet the audience. It was obvious that Oleksandr was pleased with the warm welcome he received from the Londoners.

As OBOZ.UA reported, 38-year-old British heavyweight Joe Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs) sensationally lost to his 40-year-old compatriot Dereck Chisora (35-13, 23 KOs). The 10-round fight ended with a unanimous decision of the judges 97-92, 96-94, 96-94.

Usyk came to the Joyce-Chisora fight

Fury and Usyk will rematch on December 21. We already know the fantastic prize money for the second fight. A few weeks ago, our compatriot gave up the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt and lost the title of absolute world champion.
