"If you look at it": Fury comments on Usyk's knockdown and expresses dissatisfaction

Fury spoke about the fight with Usyk

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the cut of the best moments of the fight with Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) almost entirely consists of episodes of the ninth round. The Gypsy King emphasized that the moment with the knockdown was important, but the fight itself was an equal struggle.

Fury said this in an interview with the iFL TV YouTube channel, commenting on the first defeat of his career in the professional ring. The British heavyweight noted that Usyk deserves respect not only for his work in the ring, but also for his outlook on life and faith in God.

"If you watch the cuts, you'll see him chasing me around the ring for 30 seconds. But it wasn't the whole fight. You know what I mean. They use these cuts because it's fair to Usyk. I congratulate him. If I wanted someone to beat me, it would be Usyk. Because he is a God-fearing Christian and a family man. So I pay tribute to him," Fury said.

Earlier it became known that Tyson wants to organize a trilogy with Oleksandr to go down in boxing history. In addition, the Briton accused the Ukrainian of disrupting the timing of the rematch.

On October 23, Usyk and Fury held their first duel of the eyes before the second fight. The Ukrainian appeared in an unusual way, changing his image. In addition, he forced his opponent to take an unusual step to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the first fight, Oleksandr defeated Tyson by split decision - 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 - and became the absolute world heavyweight champion.

Our compatriot also shared his expectations for the second fight with Fury and responded to accusations of cheating during the May 18 fight. In addition, the Ukrainian told what he learned from the fight.

The legendary Volodymyr Klychko shared his expectations for the rematch between Usyk and Fury. And ex-champion Amir Khan disagreed with the forecasts for the fighters' repeat.

In turn, Russian boxing coach Andrei Ivichuk called Tyson the winner of the upcoming rematch with Oleksandr. And the Ukrainian named the only boxer he is interested in fighting after the second fight with the Briton.

In addition, Anthony Joshua (28-4, 23 KOs) answered the question of who he would like to see win the rematch between Usyk and Fury. The Briton himself named his motivation for the second fight against our compatriot.

Fury also responded to Usyk's team representatives when they compared him to dictator Vladimir Putin.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, former Ukrainian boxing coach Mykhailo Zavyalov said that Tyson Fury would put his career on the line in a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. The Briton himself noted that he does not believe in his victory on points in the second fight with the Ukrainian. In turn, Usyk revealed the details of his preparation for the fight.
