"I don't agree that Usyk will win easily": Ukrainian boxer gives his forecast for the champion's rematch with Fury

Bohachuk evaluated the rematch between Usyk and Fury

Well-known Ukrainian middleweight boxer Serhii Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs) disagrees with those who are confident in an easy victory for Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) over Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) in the rematch. According to the 29-year-old Vinnytsia resident, fans and experts shouldn't expect a knockout in the fight either.

Bohachuk expressed this opinion in an interview with xsport.ua. Serhii emphasized that Usyk's early victory is possible only if Fury does not take the fight seriously, but this is practically impossible, as Tyson has already gained experience in the fight against the Ukrainian in May.

"Many people say that Oleksandr Usyk will easily win the second fight early. I don't agree with that. Fury is very unconventional. For one fight, he can go out with a bag and have a hard time winning against Francis Ngannou, who is not a boxer at all. At the same time, he can move well, like in the fight with Klitschko, or deliver hard, whipping punches, like with Wilder. Tyson is a very versatile fighter who changes his strategy on the fly. Oleksandr Usyk needs to be prepared for all possible scenarios. I think Oleksandr will win on points. Perhaps, if Fury does not take the preparation seriously, a knockout is possible," Bohachuk said.

In the first fight, Oleksandr defeated Tyson by split decision 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 and became the absolute world heavyweight champion.

A month after the fight, on May 18, the Ukrainian was forced to give up the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt, which Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) defended on September 21 by brutally knocking out Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs).

Before that, Oleksandr spoke categorically about what would happen if Tyson tried to disrupt the rematch. He also shared his expectations for the second fight with Fury and responded to accusations of cheating during the May 18 fight. In addition, Oleksandr told what he learned from this fight.

The legendary Wladimir Klitschko shared his expectations from the rematch between Usyk and Fury. And ex-champion Amir Khan disagreed with the forecasts for the fighters' second fight. In addition, Russian Alexander Povetkin attributed the success of our compatriot to Russia.

In turn, Russian boxing coach Andrei Ivichuk called Tyson the winner of the upcoming rematch with Oleksandr. And the Ukrainian named the only boxer he is interested in fighting after the second fight with the Briton.

In addition, Joshua answered the question of who he would like to see win the rematch between Usyk and Fury. The Briton himself named his motivation for the second fight against our compatriot. He also told us when he would start preparing for the fight.
