In recent years, the habit of eating croissants for breakfast has spread far beyond France. Thousands of coffee shops around the world try to make this type of pastry before they open to delight their customers with their extraordinary aroma in the morning.

It is commonly believed that croissants can only be eaten while they are fresh. After that, the pastries become stale and lose their flavor. However, there is a great way to turn croissants that have lost their softness into a delicious dessert. The famous chef Nigella Lawson shared it on Instagram.

Ingredients

  • Caramel
  • Cream
  • Milk
  • Bourbon
  • Stale croissants

Method of preparation

1. Line a baking dish with parchment.

2. Put the stale croissants, divided into large pieces, into the mold.

4. Pour the mixture over the croissants and let them stand for a while.

5. Bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees.

6. Drizzle with caramel and serve.
