The main sign that a poached egg is cooked properly is a solid white and a yolk that spreads. To achieve this effect, many housewives use vinegar or cheesecloth. But there is a much simpler technique that doesn't even require a stove.

Food blogger Iryna Lazun (iren.lazun) shared how to make a poached egg without a stove and vinegar on Instagram. For this method, you will need a regular microwave.

What you need:

  • egg
  • water – 100 ml.
  • salt – 1/2 tsp.
  • small bowl or cup that can be put in the microwave

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water into a bowl.

2. Add salt.

3. Stir thoroughly until dissolved.

4. Then carefully break the egg into a bowl (to preserve the integrity of the yolk), the water should cover the egg completely.

5. Put in the microwave (power should be set to 800 watts) for 1.5-2 minutes.

6. Monitor the cooking level.
